Since the beginning days of SJV, our athletic program has grown to great heights. I can remember the time when we had so many rocks that before each practice, the members of the team had to collect the rocks so that no one would get hurt. Now we have great facilities for our sports. I am very proud of the young men who play football. I find that they are committed to the sport and work and play hard to try to achieve the goal that they set for themselves. No matter whether the lose column has more numbers in it than the win column, our kids still play their hearts out right up to the final whistle. As far as I am concerned, it doesn’t bother me if we win or lose games but I am more concerned in how the game is played and if the team plays it’s best. Being a good sport is a great characteristic to have. Our players are also concerned about their academics as academics and sports go hand in hand. Best of luck this season. Just remember hard work does pay off.
